This course will offer instruction for adult students to improve their skills in speaking and listening. Coursework will be contextualized in college and workplace settings.

Course Outcomes

Synthesize ideas from multiple sources, including audio, and text (e.g. infographics and charts)
Communicate verbally using complex sentence structure, level-appropriate vocabulary, and grammar in activities and discussions
Express opinions (agreement and disagreement) with supporting explanations in discussions while applying conversation strategies
Carry on discussions and propose solutions to problems related to college and workplace settings.
Provide and organize relevant and enough facts and reasons as evidence to express an opinion orally.
Utilize technology to communicate and relay information in a variety of formats and applications.
