CSI 246 - Web Development IV 5 Total Credits Students build their full stack web development skills by creating interactive web pages that are customized to each user’s requests, permission, and data. Students will integrate their skills in Server-Side Scripting, Database Design, Client-Side Scripting, and Front-End Web Design to create full web experiences. Topics include MVC, REST APIs, SOLID design principles, web hosting, and advanced Git. Focus will be placed on users being able to modify the database from the front end.
Prerequisite(s): CSI 244 and 230 with a 2.0 or higher
Course Outcomes
- Create apps where users’ interactions will modify the database.
- Create apps where changes to the database will be reflected in changes to the user interface.
- Create systems (such as sign-up/log-in) that securely store users’ passwords or other information.
- Make PR’s, switch branches, resolve merge conflicts, and be able to work on a shared repository.
- Understand and apply SOLID design principles.
