The Renton Technical College Board of Trustees schedule monthly public meetings, at 3:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday. Meetings are typically not held in July and August.
Debra Entenman
(Member since 2015: Current Term: 2021 - 2024)
Trustee Entenman was appointed to the Board of Trustees in July 2015, and was reappointed in December 2021.
Debra served as staff for the office of Congressman Adam Smith for twelve years and was District Director from 2015-2018. She was elected to the Washington State House of Representatives, 47th Legislative District in 2018. Debra is a founding member and past chair of the Legislative Black Caucus (LBC). She serves as Vice Chair on the College and Workforce Development Committee and on the Black Members Caucus. Debra served as a former Board member on both the Neighborhood House and Kent Youth and Family Services. While attending Highline College, Debra was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She transferred to Seattle University where she graduated with a B.A. in Political Science.
Jessica Norouzi
(Member since 2022: Current Term 2022 - 2023)
Trustee Norouzi was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2022.
Jessica is an experienced higher education administrator who serves as Assistant Dean for Advancement at the University of Washington College of Education. She also worked at Seattle Central College, most recently as Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships, and worked with Year Up, a workforce development agency working to ensure equitable access to education and economic opportunity. Jessica also served as the Interim Executive Director of the Foundation for Seattle Colleges and worked in their Office of Strategic Partnerships.
Frieda Takamura
(Member since 2015: Current Term: 2020 -2025)
Trustee Takamura was appointed to the Board of Trustees in November 2015, and was reappointed in October 2020.
Frieda is currently serving on the Washington Education Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee as well as representing the Asian community on various education-related committees and work groups. She was formerly a public education teacher and Human and Civil Rights Program Coordinator at the Washington Education Association. Frieda is also involved with various community-based organizations, including the Asian Pacific Directors Coalition. Frieda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Whitman College and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Washington.
Timothy Cooper
(Member since 2022: Current Term: 2022 - 2027)
Trustee Cooper was appointed to the Board of Trustees in November 2022.
Tim has a broad background in healthcare administration. Currently Executive Director of Medical Specialties at Kaiser Permanente of Washington, he previously held leadership roles at Seattle Children’s, Providence, Harborview Medical Center, and Valley Medical Center. Tim continues his involvement with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Robert Zappone
(Member since 2023: Current Term: 2023 - 2026)
Trustee Zappone was appointed to the Board of Trustees in March 2023.
Bob is a Carpenters Apprenticeship graduate of RTC when it was known as Renton Vocational Technical Institute. He worked for decades as a union carpenter and labor leader. He served as the Project Labor Agreement Administrator for King County and Director of Council Relations for King County Executive Ron Sims before retiring.
Bob continues his involvement in the Carpenters Union and King County Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship Training Council. He is also a member of the Seattle Wood Tech Advisory Council and a volunteer at St. Mary’s/St. Vincent De Paul.
