CSI 142 - Web Development II

Students build their front-end web development skills by creating dynamic web pages with user-friendly structure, graphics, and animations. Emphasis is placed on event handlings, style properties, and content manipulation, (filters, patterns, elements, detection or creation of events) using scripting tools such as Javascript and jQuery. Near the end of the course students will be introduced to a major web application development framework such as React or Angular.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of CSI 140 with a 2.0 or higher.

Course Outcomes

Use Operators, variables, control structures, String, Arrays, Dates, Math objects.
Change an html page content and structure dynamically, using the DOM.
Able to use JavaScript events to create interactive content.
Interact with web API’s using tools such as ajax or fetch.
Develop basic web applications or games (such as a calculator or tic-tac-toe).
