CSI 140 - Web Development I 5 Total Credits Students will learn the basic elements defined in the HTML language to build simple web pages and forms, then adding semantics, structures, and more sophisticated forms using HTML5 elements. Students will learn how to host their sites using tools such as GitHub Pages. In the second part of this course, students will add styles to their web pages and forms using Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). In the final project, students should be able to design quality web pages as rated by professionals. Prerequisite: Completion of IT 101 with a 2.0 or higher.
Course Outcomes
- Understand and explain how web sites work.
- · Understand the basics of a version control system (such as git).
- · Demonstrate the development of a web by understanding the different types of style sheets and designing.
- · Build websites using HTML5 and CSS3 components.
- · Explore the browser developer tools.
