CSI 120 - Computer Programming I 5 Total Credits This course introduces the basics of computer programming and problem solving. Students will develop skills in designing and writing simple computer programs in an integrated development environment (IDE). Topics include flowchart concepts, language syntax, data types and operators, methods, control structures such as conditionals and loops, and arrays.
Course Outcomes · Use an integrated development environment to write, compile, run, and test simple object-oriented programs.
· Read and make elementary modifications to programs that solve real-world problems.
· Validate input in a program.
· Identify and fix defects and common issues in code.
