Students continue to incorporate critical thinking and interventions in the provision of competent, safe, client-centered care by focusing on advanced nursing skills. Designed to knowledge
and skills necessary to recognize and respond appropriately to acute changes in a patient’s health status. Covers a range of acute health issues that require immediate attention, such as cardiac arrest, strokes, respiratory distress, seizures, traumatic injuries, and other acute health alterations. Students have opportunities to identify the signs and symptoms of life-threatening conditions, perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, and implement appropriate interventions in clinical setting.
