NURS 294 - Major Chronic Alterations in Health Care Needs Clinical

Provides practical and hands-on learning experience in a clinical setting. working closely with a registered nurse (RN). Emphasis includes safety, professionalism, evidence based, best 
practice, high quality patient care, and process improvement in the clinical area. Covers a range of chronic health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, obesity related health conditions, and other chronic health issues. Students will have opportunity to identify the signs and symptoms of these conditions, perform assessments, prioritize care, and implement appropriate interventions in clinical setting.

  • Apply knowledge and theory to guide appropriate patient care in the clinical setting.
