NURS 209 - Major Acute Alterations in Health Care Needs Laboratory

Provides knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and respond appropriately to acute changes in a patient’s health status. Covers a range of acute health issues that require immediate
attention, such as cardiac arrest, stroke, respiratory distress, seizure, traumatic injuries and other acute health alterations. Students learn to identify signs and symptoms of life-threatening conditions, to perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, and implement appropriate interventions.
