Examines management of acute alterations in health incorporating previously learned pathophysiologic changes. Focuses on patient-centered, culturally responsive care for clients
with major acute alterations in health throughout the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practice as the basis for nursing strategies to promote, maintain, and restore health for those who have acute disease conditions.
