NURS 203 - Major Chronic Alterations in Health Care Needs Theory

Examines the management of chronic alterations in health, incorporating previously learned pathophysiologic changes with an emphasis on maintaining an optimal level of wellness for 
patients with chronic conditions. Students are expected to apply the nursing process, pharmacotherapy, collaboration, and teaching and learning while caring for these clients.

Course Outcomes
  • Integrate previously learned knowledge into nursing care for clients experiencing chronic alterations in health care needs.
  • Apply safety concepts in providing nursing care to individuals experiencing chronic illness.
