Provide practical experience and skills necessary for entry-level nursing. Serves as a complement to theory course. Focuses on fundamental nursing concepts and procedures, developing their clinical skills, critical thinking, and communication techniques.

Course Outcomes

Develop hands on basic nursing skills competence performing accurate and safe patient assessments.
Manage patient care through administering medications safely and correctly, applying basic dosage calculations, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
Apply knowledge of nursing interventions and procedures.
Develop and utilize effective communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Demonstrate basic informatics knowledge using skills lab monitors and equipment, as well as demonstration of EHR documentation.
