Builds on the foundational concepts previously learned and applies them to the concepts of reproduction, sexuality, and human development. Holistic care for culturally diverse childbearing families focus on health risks and problems from preconception through adolescence.

Recall the nurse’s role in assessment, health promotion, maintenance, and prevention of disease including nutritional needs.
Apply the nursing process to the care of childbearing families and pediatrics.
Identify the health care needs throughout each perinatal stage and pediatrics including:
