MAST 182 - Ethics: Safe Hands II 1 Total Credits This course of study provides students the opportunity to deepen their understanding of ethical and legal issues as well as client-practitioner relationships focusing on client-centered, trauma informed care.. Students gain knowledge concepts related to interpersonal skills including active listening and reflective listening.. Key themes which are addressed are boundaries, informed consent, confidentiality, dual relationships, cultural competence, sexual misconduct, transference and counter-transference and ethics in business. Students study industry codes of ethics and laws related to the profession, such as HIPAA.
