This course prepares students in basic shop skills such as: using hand tools, measuring devices, automotive shop equipment, tire service, fastener application, and basic welding operations. Students learn navigation of electronic service information and written publications.

Course Outcomes

Identify and perform safe use of general shop equipment to OSHA/WISHA standards.
Identify and safely use twist drills, reams, tap and die and automotive fasteners to industry standards.
Identify proper use and care of hand tools to industry standards.
Identify proper use and care of precision measuring tools.
