FAS 101 - Safety and Environmental Issues (Teachout)

This course prepares students in the proper safety procedures and usage of shop equipment and chemicals, as well as identification, handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous automotive waste products through web-based classroom and lab instruction.

Course Outcomes

Students learn basic shop safety rules and regulations per OSHA and WISHA standards.
Students will be able to identify and prevent automotive shop safety hazards.
Students will become proficient at using Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to identify chemicals and products and their hazards.
