The Intro to Collision Repair course is designed to prepare entry-level students with the fundamental knowledge needed to be successful in the collision repair industry. Subjects include personal safety, vehicle construction materials, parts terminology, safety systems, tools, equipment and attachment methods, industry repair terms, mechanical systems terminology, refinishing, and corrosion protection.

Course Outcomes

Use and understand different terminology that relates to tools, equipment used to repair todays automobiles.
Use and understand repair, parts, mechanical systems, and refinish terminology used to repair todays automobiles.
Understand the repair issues associated with repairing today’s vehicles.
Be able to look at a crashed vehicle and know where to look for damage and understand how that damage would be repaired.
Have a basic understanding of the complete collision repair process
