WELD 147 - Robotics Welding II 6 Credits This course covers intermediate tasks and procedures that an operator, technician, engineer or programmer needs to take full advantage of the multiple capabilities of a Robotic Welding System, in the production of welded fabrications.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of WELD 146 with a 2.0 or higher, and instructor permission.
Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate robot jogging.
- Articulate basic program structure and its importance to manufacturing.
- Demonstrate how to create, save, and load programs and the use of multiple programs in manufacturing.
- Utilize one or more teach Pendants.
- Analyze basic weld instructions and troubleshoot welding problems.
- Utilize coordinated user frames.
- Fabricate Jigs and Fixtures.
- Demonstrate assembly and fabrication of parts to be welded.
