WELD 147 - Robotics Welding II

This course covers intermediate tasks and procedures that an operator, technician, engineer or programmer needs to take full advantage of the multiple capabilities of a Robotic Welding System, in the production of welded fabrications.

Prerequisite(s): Completion of WELD 146 with a 2.0 or higher, and instructor permission.

Course Outcomes

Demonstrate robot jogging.
Articulate basic program structure and its importance to manufacturing.
Demonstrate how to create, save, and load programs and the use of multiple programs in manufacturing.
Utilize one or more teach Pendants.
Analyze basic weld instructions and troubleshoot welding problems.
Utilize coordinated user frames.
Fabricate Jigs and Fixtures.
Demonstrate assembly and fabrication of parts to be welded.
