This course covers basic accounting, project accounting, estimating, contract basics, licensing requirements, small business management, customer relations, marketing, professional organizations and professional ethics.

Course Outcomes

Estimate project pricing using chargeout rates.
Define the major elements of a work order contract on both private industry model and public agency model.
Describe the purposes and roles of several professional organizations.
Demonstrate an understanding of professional ethics to be able to respond to case studies for major industry issues.
Demonstrate understanding of employer and employee relationships and employee rights.
