HLTH 100 - Tools for Success

This course provides the foundational tools for successful completion of the Nursing Assistant program.

Course Outcomes

Identify the role of a Nursing Assistant in the healthcare system.
Explain safety and proper body mechanics.
Describe components of effective communication.
Use library and computer to perform a basic content search.
Accurately perform basic math skills, including conversion of AM-PM time to military time.
Demonstrate proficiency on written/skills testing for CPR (BLS for Healthcare Providers) including use of AED, and First Aid.
Identify basic medical terms associated with body systems and common pathophysiological conditions.
