DFT 121 - Commercial Architecture

Students are instructed in architectural drafting including drafting techniques, floor, framing and site plans, elevations, sections, basic mechanical (electrical), schedules and specifications, and building codes. Corequisite(s): DFT 117

Course Outcomes

Identify and describe standard layouts of foundation, floor, roof, elevation and related details drawings to current industry standards.
Identify and utilize structural components used in commercial construction.
Recognize and explain the use of common commercial construction materials and methods.
Discuss the use and application of building codes.
