DENT 192 - Internship I

4 Credits
In this course of study, the student initiates, prepares for and begins the first of two Internships. The student performs basic chairside procedures in a dental office. This may include expanded functions legal to perform by a Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Washington.

Prerequisite(s): DENT 113.

Course Outcomes

Coordinate and contract two dental offices for internship requirements.
Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate communication in dental office.
Perform dental assistant duties as allowed by the Washington State Dental Practice Act in a dental office/clinic.
Analyze, discuss and document office experience
