DENT 192 - Internship I
4 Credits
In this course of study, the student initiates, prepares for and begins the first of two Internships. The student performs basic chairside procedures in a dental office. This may include expanded functions legal to perform by a Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Washington.
Prerequisite(s): DENT 113 .
Course Outcomes
- Coordinate and contract two dental offices for internship requirements.
- Demonstrate professionalism and appropriate communication in dental office.
- Perform dental assistant duties as allowed by the Washington State Dental Practice Act in a dental office/clinic.
- Analyze, discuss and document office experience
