SHIP 134 - Anatomy of a Bridge

This course will familiarize the student with the different types of bridges & their purpose. The student will construct a box girder bridge & a concrete girder bridge. Students work together as a team.

Explain pre-stressing and post-tensioning concrete.
Identify the major types of concrete bridges and their major design features and components.
List and describe the major types of concrete bridges and their major design features and components.
Identify safe practices for working both on land and over water.
