WELDS 103 - Blueprint Reading for Welding

Students receive instruction in the makeup and interpretation of blueprints. The course covers lines, views, notes, specifications, dimensions, bills of materials, structural shapes, detail prints, assembly prints, general symbols, welding symbols, and abbreviations. Students also receive instruction in the interpretation of blueprints, including pipe layouts, pipe symbols, basic metal fabrication, water tight collars, insert procedures, inspection, and weld testing symbols.
