DFTS 125 - Transition from Land Desktop to Civil 3D

This course assists students in the transition from AutoCAD Land Desktop (LDD) to AutoCAD Civil 3D software. The students learn how the commands and terminology have changed, and how to use Civil 3D to accomplish the same tasks they did in LDD. Concepts covered include: LDD vs. Civil 3D formats, Survey and Civil command differences, Civil 3D “Styles” and how they work, and Basic Civil 3D designing concepts and tools.

Prerequisite(s): Working knowledge of AutoCAD Land Desktop, practical experience in Survey and Civil design, or instructor’s permission.
