This course is an introduction to mechanical design, more specifically fasteners, shafts, and tolerance specification along with a look at mechanical design practices.

Prerequisite(s): DFT 106

Course Outcomes

Demonstrate effective communication skills within a team environment.
Produce a strategic plan for completing a team project.
Prepare sketches, layout drawings, detailed drawings, sub assembly drawings, and final assembly drawings.
