CULS 154 - How to Boil Water II

Join Chef Hope Sandler as she gets you cooking and feeling more relaxed and confident while teaching you basic cooking skills and techniques through student participation. In four relaxed, fun-filled, full-participation classes you’ll learn about cooking equipment, simple menu planning, and prepare a complete dinner including dessert. Curriculum emphasis is on understanding the role of each ingredient, flavoring and seasoning, and creative recipe variation. Sample menu: Filet Mignon with Red Wine Sauce, Mushrooms Sauteed with Onions and Fresh Herbs, Roasted Asparagus with Parmesan, European Crunch Cake. Please bring a clean apron and chef’s knife with you to class. Supply cost is included in the tuition fee.
