CIVS 183 - Human Relations & Workplace Readiness

Students learn the career paths available within the civil engineering field. An overview of the different segments within the industry with an aim to illustrate the skills and knowledge required. The importance of lifelong learning is emphasized. This course also prepares students to seek and obtain employment by providing instruction in job search strategies, resume writing, interview skills, and career planning. Students are also instructed in employability traits such as work ethic, human relations, personal appearance and grooming, punctuality, and corporate citizenship.
