BAST 084 - English Language Arts (ELA) in the Social Sciences

This contextualized course integrates reading and writing with instruction focused on social studies. Possible topics include but are not limited to: world history, US History, Washington State History, civics, geography, US and world politics, cultural anthropology, and contemporary issues. This competency-based class allows students to demonstrate skills and knowledge, and earn possible high school credit equivalents in Social Studies (US Government, Washington State History, and/or Current World Issues), English, and/or elective credits.
