BAST 060 - Bridge to College Composition - Open Doors

Credits 15
This course serves students in the Open Doors Youth Re-engagement program. This course prepares students for English Composition 101 and other college writing. This course uses Basic Education for Adults (BEdA) teaching methods with lots of opportunitiets for writing practice and instruction in the effective use of English sentence structure, grammar, and vocabulary. Students will discover their voices in their narrative essays, hone their syntehsis skills in their 25 word summaries, and become well-versed in crafting and revising paragraphs. Course outcomes are aligned to COMP 100.
