Prepare for careers in construction management as a site supervisor, project manager, superintendent, estimator, safety officer, and other administrators. Ive roles Students learn estimating, scheduling, project management, human relations, and other skills that are critical in the construction management field. Students can enroll on a part-time or full-time basis, to earn a certificate or degree. 

Program Learning Outcomes
• Create schedules and budgets from estimating plans that can be used to keep projects running smoothly.
• Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills in diverse and complex worksituations.
• Demonstrate responsibility for safety and productivity measures in construction managementsettings.
• Determine personnel, material, and contractor resources necessary to manage construction projects.
• Synthesize information from building codes, plans and specifications, and other pertinent industry resources.
• Write bids, manage contracts and other construction management documents in accordance with industry best practices

It is helpful to have foundational computer skills: be able to use a mouse, navigate the internet, download and save files.

GPA Requirements


  • Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.0
  • Minimum grade for each core CONST course (CONST 100, 104, 112, 113, 120, 130, 160, 185, 201, 220, 266, 298): 2.0
  • Minimum grade for all other courses: 1.0 each (2.0 average)

 

*Note: Clinical & Field-Based Experience courses require a Credit (CR) grade.
