MAP 299 - Outpatient Prospective Payment Systems

The OPPS was implemented in 2000 and significantly changes how hospitals are reimbursed for outpatient services under Medicare. Students will become familiar with payment status indicators; identify clinical APCs and nonclinical APCs; and bill appropriately in compliance with rules and regulations.
