CNA 330 - Network Databases and Structured Query Language (SQL) Credits 5 This course acquaints the student with the concept of databases and queries using Structured Query Language (SQL). Students learn to create tables and databases and gain proficiency with SQL to create and use queries that are related to dates, strings, numbers, data aggregation, etc. Course Outcomes
- Use SQL to create tables and indexes.
- Compose SQL queries.
- Understand constraints, views, triggers, and indexes in databases.
- Explain how queries are processed, optimized and evaluated in a DBMS.
- Explain transaction processing.
- Recognize common SQL server issues (log space, performance problems, job failures).
