ANES 130 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Cardiac Life Support Credits 3 In the ACLS course the learners enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies, while earning their American Heart Association ACLS (AHA ACLS) for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card. The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider course enables allied healthcare students to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to better recognize and treat critically ill infants and children. The course is scenario-based, and a team approach is used to teach emergency management of pediatric patients approaching, or already in, respiratory or cardiac arrest. The learner will engage in simulation and scenario training incorporating treatment, stabilization, and/or the transport phases of a pediatric emergency, particularly in the perioperative environment.
