ANES 194 - Certification Exam Prep

The student revisits and reviews the core concepts of the Anesthesia Technologist program. Emphasis is placed on preparation and strategies for success in the national certification exam. Students will be able to participate in mock exams and consider relevant content and concepts. Students will work to prepare study and revision guides.

Course Outcomes

Recognize and properly use advanced airway equipment.
Respond appropriately to advanced airway management.
Troubleshoot advanced anesthesia machine problems.
Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced physiological monitoring (arterial lines, central lines, pulmonary artery lines, blood warmers) while assisting the anesthesia provider.
Understand multiple intubation strategies and respond rapidly to airway management.
Set up hemodynamic monitoring equipment and troubleshoot.
Identify any drugs needed for different procedures.
Review and study for the national exam.
