CMST& 220 - Public Speaking 5 Total Credits This course in public speaking helps students develop effective speaking skills through understanding the elements involved in effective speech. Students will prepare effective and accessible speeches for a variety of purposes.

- Explore benefits of public speaking abilities for academic and career purposes.
- Recognize the use and effects of rhetorical devices, including identification of logical fallacies.
- Organize and focus topics for presentations with research, surveys, internet research, in-depth interviews and search directories.
