CBE 213 - Motor Control Principles and Lab 5 Credits This course includes single phase and multiple phase installation, and repair and maintenance of motor controls as used in industrial applications and hands-on lab featuring the components, wiring and applications of motor control systems as used in industrial applications. Students will learn to troubleshoot/replace/install circuit boards, sensors, and become proficient in troubleshooting motors and variable speed drives, interpreting relay logic and sizing of components for various applications.
Course Outcomes - Discuss basic electrical theory and ohms law.
- Analyze and interpret electric motor control systems diagrams.
- Set up and terminate electric motor control equipment.
- Troubleshoot electric motor control systems.
