ACCT 132 - Basic Excel 5 Credits This course introduces students to Microsoft Excel and its application to accounting functions.
Course Outcomes
- Create a worksheet using business appropriate formatting.
- Apply appropriate Excel formulas for a variety of calculations.
- Appropriately apply relative and absolute cell references in formulas.
- Prepare a payroll register using an embedded “IF” function.
- Prepare a depreciation schedule by creating a table.
- Perform financial analysis using “solver” and “goal seek” functions.
- Apply the “PMT” function to compute a periodic payment.
- Apply the “PV” and “FV” function to compute a present value and future value of a series of cash flows.
- Create a pivot table.
