AMATH 190 - Financial Algebra Credits 5 This course applies intermediate algebra to personal finance. Mathematical concepts will include linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, and piecewise defined functions; graphing; distributions; measures for center; and spread of distributions. Financial concepts include income, taxes, discounts, simple and compound interest, buying on credit, depreciation, expenses, budgeting, annuities, stocks and bonds, and planning for retirement.
