IPT 218 - Introduction to Production Floor Tooling

This class is designed to familiarize students with general dimensions and tolerances of Production tool drawings as well as identifying symbols and characters used for metrology. Also students discuss production tooling feature types, ease of operation, longevity and strength. And in addition to learning the importance of selecting the proper material composition of tools, learn the important link between machine operation and shop safety, as well as being proactive in identifying potential issues such as faults, lack of lubrication, and maintenance.
