ABDY 240 - Advanced Autobody Repair Credits 6 Students work hands-on and repair various types of damage on a number of vehicles. Subjects include automotive foams, trim and hardware, and corrosion protection. Training prepares students for certification in I-CAR Non-Structural Technician, ProLevel I. Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate the proper use of all the safety equipment and tools that is required to perform the task of repairing the damage.
- Analyze a repair, by way of writing an estimate/work order.
- Plan a repair, making sure that all of the damage is identified ,and parts are available to do the repair.
- Align all panels for proper fit before refinish operation.
- Identify the different types of seam sealers where and when needed.
- Explain the use weld thru primers on replacement panels.
- Demonstrate the reasons and use of corrosion protection and sealers on replacement panels.
