ABDY 129 - Shop Management Credits 2 Students learn how communications between management and workers affects the operation of a shop. Students also learn about the operating costs in shops, the responsibilities of management and other issues faced by companies which helps the employee understand his/her role in making the business successful. Students are taught how to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with employers, technicians, and customers. Course Outcomes
- Articulate the complex relationship between owners/ managers, insurance companies and the technicians.
- Consider job opportunities in a wide range of careers in the repair industry.
- Explain the importance of effective communication in stressful shop environments.
- Demonstrate culturally sensitive communication skills with a variety of owners, customers or co-workers.
