MEC 109 - Programmable Logic Controls - Siemens

Credits 4
Introduction to programmable logic controllers for industrial control and direct digital controls for industrial automation. Participants will gain an understanding of terminology, components, programming, interfacing and operation of PLC controls, and be introduced to DDC components, functions, and operation in building automation and energy management. Student will learn the Siemens PLC system to study software programming, architectures, ladder logic, I/O modules, basic numbering systems, computer terminology, and industrial communication.
