CNA 340 - IT Project Management Credits 5 This course teaches students the principles and concepts involved with project management: defining a problem, conducting a needs assessment, establishing project objectives, building a project plan to meet deadlines and budget constraints, managing a team, and closing out a project. Scrum and Agile methodologies are introduced. Course Outcomes
- Manage the selection and initiation of individual projects and of portfolios of projects in the enterprise.
- Conduct project planning activities that accurately forecast project costs, timelines, and quality.
- Implement processes for successful resource, communication, and risk and change management.
- Demonstrate effective project execution and control techniques that result in successful projects.
- Conduct project closure activities, including formal project acceptance.
- Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of ethics and professional responsibility.
- Demonstrate effective organizational leadership and change skills for managing team projects, diverse project teams, and stakeholders.
