This course will offer intensive instruction for adults to improve their math skills. This course emphasizes the application of mathematics in real situations to prepare students for college and career success in trades and technical fields.
Course Outcomes

Perform the following types of arithmetic by hand (i.e. without a calculator):

Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Calculations of ratios, proportions, and percents
Conversion of fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
Conversion of metric units to English units and English units to metric units
Neatly and clearly organize their work on paper so that a reader can easily identify the steps of the process used and the answer, including the appropriate units.
