OPH 170 - Communications

Communications focus is on communication skills for healthcare workers. Writing basics and preparing for legal documentation is emphasized. Emphasis is also placed on communication with diverse populations and cultures. Students also develop and enhance their computer skills for the ophthalmic practice.
Course Outcomes

Demonstrate writing skills necessary for ophthalmic office work.
Use communication skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) in a multicultural environment.
Navigate and utilize the computer for work-related projects.
Research and present a written and oral report on assigned topic.
