NURS 203 - Major Chronic Alterations in Health Care Needs

This course examines the management of chronic alterations in health incorporating previously learned pathophysiologic changes with an emphasis on maintaining an optimal level of wellness including caring interventions, pharmacotherapy, collaboration, and teaching & learning.
Course Outcomes
- Recall previously learned knowledge of pathophysiologic changes.
- Examine chronic alterations in health care needs to promote optimal health in the community setting.
- Provide client education to prevent complications and negative client outcomes related to chronic health care needs.
- Explain the role of the nurse in the management of clients with chronic health alterations including pharmacotherapeutics.
