DFT 121 - Introduction to Architectural Drafting

Students are instructed in architectural drafting including drafting techniques, floor, framing and site plans, elevations, sections, basic mechanical (electrical), schedules and specifications, and building codes.
Course Outcomes

Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding Architects scale.
Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of room relationships and sizes.
Recognize legal descriptions and site plan requirements.
Demonstrate the proper use of floor plan symbols, notes and dimensions.
Recognize and create related drawings such as typical section, roof plan, and lighting plan.
