This is the first course in a three-course series in which students develop effective communication skills for job search and the workplace. This first course emphasizes basic communication skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) as applied to manufacturing topics.

Course Outcomes

Demonstrate effective written communication skills with clarity and brevity using Standard English to industry standards.
Demonstrate effective oral communication skills using Standard English to machining industry standards.
Take responsibility for his/her own learning by actively using multiple resources to gather information and develop communication skills.
