CARP 134 - Anatomy of a Bridge
3 Credits
This course will familiarize the student with the different types of bridges & their purpose. The student will construct a box girder bridge & a concrete girder bridge. Students work together as a team.
Course Outcomes
- Explain pre-stressing and post-tensioning concrete.
- Identify the major types of concrete bridges and their major design features and components.
- List and describe the major types of concrete bridges and their major design features and components.
- Identify safe practices for working both on land and over water.
